Thank You to Our Veterans

Today is the day we honor the great men and women of our U.S. military.  I recently read that there are more than 23 million veterans living worldwide – that is 23 million people to which we owe gratitiude for all the liberties and freedoms we enjoy on a daily basis.  I have mentioned before on the blog that my husband served 10 years as an active duty officer in the Air Force so I know firsthand the sacrifices that are made by not only the men and women of the military but also their families.  All who have served have suffered in some way and will never be the same.  It may seem small but it is an important matter for us to simply say “thank you” to these courageous Americans.  I have included a favorite picture of mine – my oldest daughter seeing her dad for the first time in 6 months.  My youngest daughter was also born during that time.
